I have always loved reading to little ones. Thirty years of educating others, and being a mom of four, this was, and still remains, one of my favorite things to do. Reading aloud makes written stories come to life, gives characters, well, character, and engages the listener. It made this non-reader into a reader, and along the journey, took other non-readers with me into a magical world where only books could go. I would like to share with you some of my favorites. Books that I loved to read to my kindergarten class. The books that they signed out of our class library every single day and read with their family and friends. The books that kept my children entertained on rainy days, vacations, and alone time. The books that I read to my students now, and reminisce about times when my littles were little and listened with wide eyes and laughter. Let me share the memories and wonder of some of our favorites, and learn who lives Happily Ever After, After.
Oh, and on the last slide, you'll find some recommendations for you too. We need to relax, learn, and grow too, don't we? :)
